Facing Challenges, Building Resilience

The pressures that constitute today’s culture don’t allow for an ease of growing up. Many kids find it hard to make their way through over scheduling, social media, school stress and the disconnection of society.  At times, unhealthy ways of coping arise - from meltdowns to difficulty sleeping, under and over eating, self-harm, poor decision-making and more. Jen helps her clients get grounded, mindful, develop a strong self-identity and learn life skills to ride out the bumpy times.

She has spent her career focused on kids and teens. Her warmth and authenticity, along with evidence-based approaches and 18 years experience are here to guide you and your family to being your best selves.

Jen Eichberg

Jen Eichberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in kids, teens and families. Grounded in her Ohio roots, she began her career in politics and non-profit organizations where she focused on listening to people’s stories and understanding their experiences. Later, those passions evolved into the role of a therapist and trusted advisor in supporting families.

Jen spent 11 years at Children’s Colorado (formerly The Children’s Hospital) where she worked in all levels of care and a variety of settings, including the Eating Disorders Unit, the ER, the general psychiatric inpatient unit and the anxiety clinic. She coordinated patient care and individual and family therapy, ran groups, conducted evaluations and supervised other clinicians. She has been in private practice since 2013.

Jen is a mom of two and lives in central Denver. When not working, she can be found in search of a great cup of coffee, snowshoeing with her dog Fraser and savoring her husband’s cookies.

For Disordered Eating & ARFID:

If your child is suffering, it is crucial to put together a team that understands the complexities you and they are facing.

Jen has worked with many clinicians and doctors in the area to provide best practice, however she does partner and office with dietician Emily Crowder, RDN to provide behavioral plans, meal coaching, parent empowerment and family therapy for clients with eating concerns and activity disorders.  Their unique approach allows you access to two experts in the field and an opportunity to benefit from over 30 years combined experience in Family Based Therapy (FBT).

Families in step-down mode from an inpatient or day-treatment program (Children’s Colorado, Eating Recovery Center, or ED Care) will find practitioners intimately familiar with each treatment setting who can pick up right from discharge and build on successes in program.

They maintain separate practices (Jen works with other dieticians and Emily teams with other therapists), however they share many clients.  Contact Emily at 720-588-2190.
